Place2Be is a children’s mental health charity that works in schools to improve the emotional wellbeing of children. Place2Be Scotland has been operating in Scottish primary and secondary schools since 2002 and it now reaches over 22,000 pupils and their families. HRH the Duchess of Cambridge is their patron, and in the film below she talks to Place2Be staff about the challenges of COVID-19 on children’s mental health.

Marina grew up in the Surrey Highlands and has lived and worked in Sydney, Cape Town and New York and now lives in London with her husband and four children.
She works at SEO London, a diversity charity that prepares students from ethnic minorities and low socioeconomic backgrounds for career success.
Prior to this she spent ten years working in financial services, in Investor Relations at Prudential Plc and before that at PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
Marina also works as a volunteer interview coach at Smart Works in West London, helping provide interview support and coaching to women trying to get back into the workforce.
Unfortunately, the 14th Women of Achievement Luncheon was cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic and instead, we asked our network of ladies, sponsors and advertisers to donate NOT to attend the lunch. Thanks to their incredible generosity we raised £57,260 for Place2Be.
